Electronic Life is collaborating with the Kochi Biennale Foundation to explore how artificial intelligence can support new forms of cultural archiving, public participation, and knowledge exchange. Building on the rich histories of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, the project investigates how archives can become living, evolving resources shaped by artists, audiences, communities, and place.
Through AI prototyping Electronic Life is exploring how data techniques can capture audience experiences, connections, memories, and stories that often sit beyond conventional institutional records. Rather than treating archives as static repositories, Electronic Life is developing people-centred approaches that foreground participation, accessibility, multi-lingual access and multiple perspectives.
The project contributes to a wider vision for cultural institutions in which AI supports more democratic, context-sensitive, and inclusive forms of knowledge creation, ensuring that the diverse voices surrounding the Biennale remain part of its continuing legacy.
